Because mastery isn’t learned overnight — it’s lived.
The Story Behind the Chair
Every brow and lip tattoo I design in South Yarra or Toorak Village carries a story — not just my client’s, but mine too. People often ask, “How did you become Melbourne’s go-to for brows and lips?” The answer isn’t just training. It’s resilience, culture, and years of obsession with detail.
Roots in Iran
I grew up in Iran, where beauty wasn’t just about looking good. It was a form of dignity, a way women claimed their space in a world that often tried to shrink them. My first lessons weren’t in salons — they were at kitchen tables, watching women thread each other’s brows with nothing but cotton and patience.
That early exposure taught me two things:
Brows are power.
Technique is tradition.

A Detour Through India
Before reaching Australia, I spent years in India where I studied my Bachelor of International Business. Living there gave me a front-row seat to a culture that treated beauty as both ritual and artistry — from intricate bridal practices to everyday threading.
That experience taught me how deeply personal and cultural brows and lashes could be, and it gave me the foundation of discipline and global perspective that I’d later bring into my work.
Education Across Three Countries
My path didn’t stop there. When I moved to Australia, I completed my Master of International Business in Melbourne, which sharpened my eye for strategy and growth. Later, I pursued a Master of Leadership in Boston, USA — a program that pushed me to think about responsibility, systems, and mentorship.
It may sound unusual for a brow artist to carry two master’s degrees. But for me, they shaped everything: how I run my salons, how I train my team, and how I lead in an industry that too often skips structure and depth.
Building Ira Bale Brows in Melbourne
Starting over in Australia wasn’t easy. I had no name, no network — just skill, determination, and an understanding that every client is a walking portfolio. One perfect brow at a time, word spread. Toorak Village came first. Then South Yarra.
I never rushed growth. I trained every staff member personally. I took every tattoo appointment myself. I treated each service like it was being graded — because in my mind, it was.
Why I Refuse Shortcuts
Over the years, I’ve seen competitors cut corners — hiring juniors, rushing appointments, offering discounts that lead to disaster. I could have taken that path. But my philosophy has always been: If it’s not the best, it’s not worth doing.
That’s why I don’t offer lash extensions. That’s why I correct bad work more often than I create first-time brows. And that’s why clients travel across Melbourne — not for a quick fix, but for confidence that lasts years.
A Story From the Chair
One client recently told me, “I came here because my friend said you were the only one she’d trust with her face.” That line stuck with me. The only one. That’s not a title you buy with ads or discounts. It’s one you earn, appointment by appointment, correction by correction, mistake avoided by mistake.
Ira’s Take
Being a brow and lip tattoo artist isn’t about pigment and machines. It’s about responsibility. You hold someone’s face — their identity — in your hands. My journey across Iran, India, Melbourne, and Boston taught me that. Technique without respect is nothing.
The Bold Truth
Anyone can call themselves a brow artist. Few can say they built mastery across cultures, disciplines, and continents. My journey wasn’t straight, easy, or fast. But it made me what I am: the cosmetic tattoo artist Melbourne trusts when precision matters most.
At Ira Bale Brows in South Yarra and Toorak Village, every service — from threading to tattooing — is backed by that journey. And that’s something no discount salon can copy.
